Prof. Emre Doğan, Chair of Department of Radio, Television and Cinema Department, and which attracted great interest from students in the department, Hasan Köroğlu talked about how he founded Kadraj Yapım and explained his journey in the sector. Sharing the current dynamics of the sector with the students, Köroğlu talked about how and in what way artificial intelligence will find a place in the sector. Sharing his predictions and expectations regarding artificial intelligence, he advised students not to be afraid of artificial intelligence and to seek ways to use artificial intelligence effectively. |

Ezel Akay shared his experiences in the industry at the event moderated by Asst. Prof. Ali Kemal Çipe. Sharing his thoughts on topics such as what to consider before meeting with the producer during the script phase of a film, how the director should prepare for the film, and what skills should be developed to be successful in the sector, Akay also shared his comments on where he positions his own cinema within Turkish cinema. Touching on the difference between musical cinema and musical cinema and sharing his views on historical films, Akay also answered students’ questions. |

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema hosted famous actor and director Ercan Kesal in the Masters event series, which brings together experienced names in the sector with students. The event, moderated by Department Head Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, attracted great interest. Ercan Kesal, who touched on the differences and connections between short films and feature films, shared his own education and industry experience with the participants. Emphasizing that he reads a lot, watches a lot and does a lot of research, Kesal also told students that the way to be a good director and a good screenwriter is to read and watch a lot, and therefore they need to improve themselves at every opportunity. |

In the event moderated by Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, director Efe Subaşı told the story of his short film, Distances. Sharing the difficulties they experienced both before and during production and on the set, and how they produced creative solutions to these difficulties, Efe Subaşı emphasized that the creative aspect of cinema emerges exactly when faced with difficulties. Explaining that he did not expect the success he achieved with his first film at the very beginning, but that success came as he put things in order during the process, Subaşı shared examples of creative solutions he knew from different short and feature-length sets.z |
