The conversation titled "Evaluation on Housing Design", organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture, with the participation of Architect Hasan Uncuoğlu as a guest, will be held on December 5, 2023, at 11.00, K Blok Firnas. It took place in the Auditorium. Approximately 100 people, including students and faculty members from the Department of Interior Architecture, attended the talk.
The conversation started with the opening speech of Asst. Prof. Dr. Adem Özer, Head of the Department of Interior Architecture. Then Architect Hasan Uncuoğlu introduced himself and started his presentation. Uncuoğlu first stated that he completed his undergraduate and graduate education at Beykent University and talked about his student life. After graduating from undergraduate education, he presented the projects he took part in at home and abroad and his duties in the projects, along with their visuals. Uncuoğlu, who worked in many important architectural offices such as Zoom Tpo, shared the projects he was involved in and touched on their details.
Design and Application Stages in Housing Projects
In the second part of the presentation, Uncuoğlu touched upon the details of the housing project in which he took part as designer and implementer. He talked about the process of creating the project together with the customer and selecting materials. He explained the effect of these two processes on the final product by comparing them through design visuals and final photographs. Uncuoğlu pointed out that such situations will constantly arise in the industry and what can be done in these situations. In the last part of the interview, he answered questions from students and faculty members. Within the framework of the questions, he talked about the transformation of housing designs from past to present, the difficulties they may encounter in the process of starting the profession, and the points they should pay attention to become a good interior designer.

Interior Architecture Talks will continue to host Architects and Interior Designers with experience in different fields in the sector. The talk titled "Concept Determination and Application in Store Design" will take place on December 19 at Firnas Auditorium.
