Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), attaches great importance to supporting students' academic education with social, cultural, artistic, and professional activities. Faculty students can take an active role in university life by joining student clubs operating in their areas of interest, conducting collaborative work with peers from different departments and classes.
Student clubs offer participatory learning environments where students can develop their communication, organization, teamwork, leadership, project development, and responsibility-taking skills. Talks, workshops, screenings, trips, festivals, and social responsibility projects organized by the clubs contribute to students following current developments in their fields and establishing contact with professional networks.
Among the clubs in which Faculty of Fine Arts students actively take part are the Film Design Club, the Gastronorm Club, and the Interior Architecture Club.
Operating under the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, the Film Design Club was established to develop a holistic approach to cinema and to support students' film culture. The club organizes film screenings, talks featuring directors and industry professionals, cinema nights, workshops, and various events. By bringing together students interested in cinema from within and outside the department on a shared platform, it aims to create an environment of mutual learning, experience sharing, and creative collaboration among students.
The Film Design Club also plays an active role alongside the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema in organizing the Harvest Time Short Film Festival (Hasat Zamanı Kısa Film Festivali). Within the scope of the festival, short film screenings, workshops, talks, and events supporting young filmmakers are held. The Unit Internal Evaluation Report also highlights that the festival organized through the collaboration of the department and the club supports interdisciplinary interaction in media production and applied education. The club’s activities allow students to gain experience not only as viewers, but as active content producers taking on roles in event planning, festival organization, film production, and teamwork processes.
Bringing together students interested in the field of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, the Gastronorm Club aims to support gastronomy culture through academic, applied, and social activities.

Through workshops, tasting events, talks, gastronomy-themed trips, competitions, and social responsibility projects, students are supported in putting the knowledge gained in courses into practice. The club aims to create a student platform that treats gastronomy not merely as food production, but addresses it through its cultural, sustainability, creativity, entrepreneurship, and social sharing dimensions.
The Interior Architecture Club was established in 2019 through the initiatives of Faculty of Fine Arts students and began its operations under the Department of Health, Culture and Sports. The club aims to support the academic and professional development of students studying in the fields of Interior Architecture as well as Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, while strengthening communication and solidarity among students.

Students take an active role in the planning and implementation of club activities, gaining experience in organization, communication, project management, and teamwork. Meetings held with professionals in the fields of architecture and design contribute to students getting to know the sector closely and expanding their professional networks.
