The Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Gelişim University began its academic journey in 2011 with four undergraduate programs: Graphic Design, Fashion and Textile Design, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, and Communication Design.
With a modern approach to education that embraces continuous change and development, the faculty considers both national and international dynamics to offer students education opportunities at global standards. In the 2015-2016 academic year, three new departments were added: Interior Architecture, Cinema and Television, and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts. With the addition of these programs, the total number of undergraduate programs within the faculty has reached seven.

Department of Graphic Design
The Department of Graphic Design aims to train professional graphic designers who can execute projects in typography and print design, develop solutions for challenges encountered during the design process, and ensure that the design process is sustainable and aligned with environmental and societal harmony. The department's goal is to cultivate professional designers who are competent in organizing typography, form, visual design, printing processes, packaging, illustration, and other essential knowledge in visual communication. These designers will be capable of producing high-quality work in the field of graphic design while staying closely attuned to contemporary trends.
Graduates of the Graphic Design Department can find employment in advertising agencies, graphic design firms, printing houses, publishing companies, packaging companies, advertising departments of private sector organizations, and other related fields.
