The interview event, which is the first stage of the social responsibility project titled " We Make Children's Dreams Come True with Make a Wish", organized in cooperation with Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Make-A-Wish Association (Make-A-Wish Turkey) was held on October 10, 2022, at IGU Tower Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall.
The first stage of the social responsibility project, which set out with the aim of realizing the wishes of children struggling with life-threatening diseases and thus strengthening their feelings of hope, resilience and joy, was held to inform students about the project. In the first session of the interview, which was held in two sessions, Wish Coordinator Emrah Gündüz told how the Make-a-Wish Association was established and the story of its emergence. In the second session, Maide Kaba, Digital and Share My Dream Responsible, talked about the projects realized by Make-a-Wish and talked about university collaborations.
FROM THE FIRST WISH TO MILLIONS OF WISHES
Emrah Gündüz, who stated that making Christopher James Greicius, who was treated for leukemia at the age of 7 in 1980, was an inspiration for the establishment of Make-a-Wish, underlined that it is important to keep the morale of children high and to strengthen their sense of hope for life, especially during the struggle against such diseases. Emrah Gündüz, who set out to touch the dreams of children, said that the Make-a-wish association is the largest wish fulfillment network in the world today. Emrah Gündüz said that the Make-A-Wish Association (Make-A-Wish Turkey) has been operating in Turkey since 2000 and has been a part of the international Make-A-Wish network since 2009. He added that he is very excited about the projects.

Maide Kaba, Digital and Share My Dream Responsible, summarized all the projects they carried out in collaboration with Make-a-Wish Turkey and invited the students to be a part of the team to create magical and happy memories and boost morale. Explaining the details of the project, which started with a conversation on October 10 in cooperation with IGU FAF, Maide Kaba stated that while running in the marathon in the second stage of the project, they will be a single voice for the children and the donations collected will be used to fulfill the wishes of the children. She said that in the last stage of the project, an "E-Card Design Workshop" will be held with a volunteer team consisting of students from Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Fine Arts.
THE PROJECT WILL CONTINUE WITH THE MARATHON STAGE!
The second phase of the " We Make Children's Dreams Come True with Make a Wish " social responsibility project will be held at N Kolay 44th Istanbul Marathon on November 6, 2022, with the participation of project coordinators Research Assistant Ayten Bengisu Cansever, Research Assistant Eliz Mutlu, Research Assistant Mustafa Dallı and Research Assistant Tuğçe Öztürk and with the participation of a volunteer student team of 20. Students who want to run the marathon in order to fulfill the wishes of the children and raise awareness will be able to register and actively participate in the project until October 16th.
