Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, Chair of Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, made a presentation titled "Crisis of Aesthetic Illusion Production on the Basis of Flaw-Perfection Duality: A Baudrillardian Criticism" at the third International Art Symposium (IARTSYMP) organized by Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts.
In his presentation, Doğan included Jean Baurdillard's theory of simulation and the construction of the 'order of simulacra' expressed in the theory, and also included Baudrillard's criticisms of the field of art. At this point, he underlined Baudrillard's concept of 'perfection' and discussed the fact that art, which is purified from its flaws, has lost its image and imagination.
With this study, we discussed the new media forms and post-cinema elements that emerged as a result of technological developments in cinema and aimed to provide a perfect experience, in the light of the effects of Jean Baudrillard's thoughts and the imperfection-perfection duality on the production of aesthetic illusion, and examined the crisis of aesthetic illusion through a Baudrillardian lens. evaluated their qualities.
We congratulate Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan and wish him continued success.
