YÖKAK audits conducted throughout our university within the scope of the institutional accreditation program!
Last week, between November 25-27, 2024, the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) audits were conducted throughout Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP). The audit, which also included the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), was completed with a meeting with the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) representatives on Monday, November 25.
The Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP) is an external evaluation method that enables the evaluation of quality assurance, education-training, research-development, social contribution and management system processes in higher education institutions within the scope of the "planning, implementation, control and precaution" cycle.
The IAP is carried out by the evaluation teams formed by the Higher Education Quality Board within the scope of the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Criteria and the Institutional External Evaluation and Accreditation Guide. Each year, the higher education institutions to be included in the IAP are determined by YÖKAK and evaluation teams are formed in accordance with the structure of these determined higher education institutions. The evaluation teams carry out two visits (preliminary visit and field visit) to the relevant higher education institutions.
As a result of these visits, the evaluation teams prepare Institutional Accreditation Reports (IAR) and YÖKAK makes decisions regarding accreditation by considering these reports.
The following decisions are made by YÖKAK within the scope of IAP:
Full accreditation (for five years)
Conditional accreditation (for two years)
Decision to reject accreditation
Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), was also inspected by representatives of the Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) within the scope of the Institutional Accreditation Program (IAP). We hope to receive good news as a result of the successfully completed inspection meetings and wish our university continued success.
