The first stage of the social responsibility project titled “On the Trail of Heritage: We Carry Istanbul’s Cultural Richness to the Future with IGU” organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) has been completed.

The first stage of the social responsibility project “On the Trail of Heritage: We Carry Istanbul’s Cultural Richness to the Future with IGU”, led by Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu from the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, Res. Asst. Gökçe Uzgören from the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, and Res. Asst. Eda Türkay from the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, has been realized.

In the first stage, the project team conducted a technical tour examining the arcades in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, and in the second stage, they will visit the buildings that have become museums in Beyoğlu. In the third stage, a cultural heritage booklet will be prepared, which will include photographs taken during the trips carried out in the first two stages. The social responsibility project titled “On the Trail of Heritage: Carrying Istanbul’s Cultural Riches to the Future with IGU” was planned with the aim of protecting and promoting Istanbul’s cultural heritage. The cultural heritage booklet, which will be obtained as an output at the end of the project, will provide theoretical information on Istanbul’s cultural values ​​and brief information to those working in the field, students and tourists with both archive and current visuals.
