Istanbul Gelişim University Provides Support for Parents and Students for the Future with Career Development Academies

Istanbul Gelişim University had launched Career Development Academies in order to support the academic and personal development of its students. This comprehensive program aims to help high school students discover their interests, develop their talents and take a conscious step into university life. However, the program is not only for students, it also provides guidance to parents, allowing them to make more conscious decisions regarding their children’s career development. With this program, families will be able to learn how to follow their children’s career processes more effectively and provide them with the best support.

Career Development Academies assist parents with trainings organized for prospective student parents every Friday between 17:00 and 18:00. These trainings, provided by expert academics in the field, teach parents how to be more conscious guides in their children’s career journeys. The trainings provide the information and skills necessary for families to make healthier decisions about their children’s future. During this process, parents will be able to guide their children in choosing the professions that best suit their interests and talents.

In this context, Assoc. Prof. Murat Doğan, one of the academicians of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, gave a presentation titled “Industry 4.0 and the Kitchen of the Future: A Guide for Families” to the parents of prospective students at the Career Development Academies, and he particularly addressed the effects of Industry 4.0 on the kitchen sector in depth. He provided information about the innovations created by technology in the kitchen world, how automation systems have revolutionized kitchen work, and the professions of the future.
