Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), celebrated the beginning of the 2023-2024 academic year by organizing a student orientation event. This special event took place on September 27, 2023, at the IGU Tower Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall, with the participation of the academic and administrative staff of the Faculty of Fine Arts.

During her opening speech, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, the Dean of IGU FFA, announced that starting from October 2, 2023, classes would be conducted in a face-to-face format. Emphasizing the importance of face-to-face education, direct communication, and dialogue, Prof. Dr. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp also spoke about the work of the academic staff. She highlighted various activities, social responsibility projects, and events held at the Faculty of Fine Arts, underlining the dynamic nature of the faculty and fostering a sense of belonging to a larger family. She also stressed the importance of reading guidelines, following the faculty and department websites, and engaging with social media accounts.

During the event, students were provided with information about the university's vision, mission, and academic programs. Additionally, guidance was offered to help students explore the campus and get acquainted with student clubs. Students were assured that the support they need to enjoy university life and have a successful academic year is always available.
