 "Expanding Your Sphere of Influence: Leadership and Social Impact" Workshop Held as Part of the 'Future Skills' Series!
As part of the “Future Skills” project, Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts continues to organize events aimed at enhancing students’ 21st-century competencies.

The project not only focuses on critical thinking, problem-solving, digital literacy, and professional skills, but also includes activities that promote social influence, communication, and leadership. In this context, the 5th week of the series featured a workshop titled “Expanding Your Sphere of Influence: Leadership and Social Impact,” moderated by Dr. Aslı Kasar.

The event took place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM in Classroom 606, drawing strong participation from both students and academic staff. The workshop offered an interactive environment where leadership concepts, strategies for generating social impact, and decision-making processes were discussed in depth. Participants were presented with a pre-structured scenario and one attendee was selected as the leader to manage a specific problem within the narrative.

Throughout the workshop, Dr. Aslı Kasar shared key insights into leadership development and provided constructive feedback based on the participants’ performances. Attendees gained hands-on experience in social interaction, team management, and effective decision-making under pressure, while also having the opportunity to explore and reflect on their individual leadership styles.

Events like these aim to support students not only academically but also in their personal development, helping them become well-rounded and balanced individuals. Through the “Future Skills” initiative, Istanbul Gelisim University strives to equip its students with not only academic and professional knowledge but also the psychological, social, and leadership skills necessary for a successful future.
