Organized by Istanbul University – Cerrahpaşa, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, İstanbul Medeniyet University American University in the Emirates (AUE), Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, Iowa State University, Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, on 2-3 February 2023 participated in three different events with the works of Asst. Prof. Erdem ÇAĞLA from the Graphic Design Department of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF). While the “I Imagine” poster design exhibition was held physically in Dubai, Group and Solo exhibitions were held online.

Artworks Containing Aesthetic Image Have Been Created

Çağla noted that for her online solo exhibition "Portraits from the line", which she opened within the scope of IFAPC, she used only portrait photographs she took herself, and made digital interventions on them, combining the spotty value of lines with colors to create works that contain aesthetic images. At the same time, he stated that he aimed to draw attention to the problem of inflation in his work in the poster exhibition "I Imagine", which took place physically in DUBAI, and that he wanted to highlight the fact that inflation is used as a weapon that threatens the future of societies.

Who is Erdem ÇAĞLA?

He graduated from Atatürk University Public Relations and Publicity Department and Anadolu University Web Design program. He completed his master's degree in Graphic Design and proficiency in art at Istanbul Arel University. He started his career as a web designer in 2006, designing many websites for various institutions and organizations, as well as serving in other areas of advertising.

He started working as an expert in civil and criminal disputes in 2014.

He taught graphic design at Istanbul Arel University and Haliç University.

Currently, he is a Ph.D. student at Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Design Department Instructor. He continues his academic duties as a member and continues his expertise in the fields of graphic design, visual communication, advertising, copyrights, printing, and photography.
