Art/icle special issue published under the editorship of Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan!

The latest issue of Art/icle Art and Design Journal, a refereed scientific journal of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), published under the editorship of Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Head of Radio, Television and Cinema Department, was published as a special issue of the International Short Film, Video and Photography Symposium.

The Art/icle Art and Design Journal Special Issue, edited by Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, is titled “Inspired by the Theory of Uses and Gratifications: Why Do We Watch Short Films?” The journal was published with the article titled “Space, Collective Memory and On-Site Transformation: States of Matter (2020)” by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, the article titled “Space, Collective Memory and In-Situ Transformation: States of Matter (2020)” by Tuncer Mert Aydın, the article titled “How ‘Real’ is Virtual Reality: Joe Hunting’s VR Documentaries” by Onur Aytaç and Servet Can Dönmez, and the article titled “Environmentalist Approaches in Video Art” by Burcu Günay. In addition to the research articles listed, the journal also featured the compilation article titled “The Impact of AR Art on Social Awareness: A Case Study” by Nafise Esmael Motlagh and the article titled “Overlay Theory: Towards a Theory of Cinematic Synchronicity” by Hasan Cem Çal.
