A great achievement from Istanbul Gelisim University Graphic Design Department: The designs of Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla featured in a textbook
Original designs by Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla, from the Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) Graphic Design Department at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), have been included as examples in the graphic design textbook prepared by the Ministry of National Education (MoNE) for 11th-grade students. The textbook offers rich content aimed at effectively conveying the fundamental elements of graphic design, with contributions from authors Nergül Gevrek, Öznur Vurmaz, and Turgut Demir. This team has produced a qualified resource that will guide new generations of students in graphic design education.
Carefully selected by the Ministry of National Education, Çağla's designs effectively address core topics of design, such as typography, composition, color use, and visual hierarchy. The works of Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla aim to enhance students' perspectives both aesthetically and technically. The book serves as a valuable resource for high school graphic design classes, supporting the creative processes of young individuals.
Reflecting on this achievement, Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla stated, "Introducing design education at a young age plays a critical role in shaping individuals' creative thinking skills. Being part of this textbook is a great honor for me."
This accomplishment once again highlights the quality of IGU FFA's academic staff and reinforces the faculty's leading role in the field of graphic design. The faculty continues to make an impact on both national and international levels.
As Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts, we sincerely congratulate Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdem Çağla for this meaningful contribution. As the IGU FFA family, we will continue to inspire our students and the academic world.
