 The Analytical Intelligence and Innovation panel was held as part of the Future Skills Project!

The Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Gelişim University hosted an important event within the scope of the “Future Skills Project,” which aims to develop students’ critical competencies in preparation for the business world of the future. The panel titled “The Power of Thinking: Innovation through Analytical Intelligence,” held on March 10, 2025, provided students with in-depth insights into analytical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation processes.

The Power of Analytical Thinking and Innovation

 
Held on the 14th floor of Istanbul Gelişim University, the panel was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Erol (Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design) and featured Muhammed Reşit Kaplan and Mehmet Demir as guest speakers, both experts in entrepreneurship and academia. The discussion explored the role of analytical intelligence in decision-making, the significance of innovation in business, and the intersection of technology and analytical thinking. During the session, speakers shared their knowledge and experiences on topics such as artificial intelligence, software technologies, blockchain, and data-driven thinking in entrepreneurship.

Highlights from the Speakers

 
Muhammed Reşit Kaplan emphasized the importance of data-driven decision-making in entrepreneurship, noting that innovative thinking processes create a strong competitive advantage. He provided examples of how project management, AI applications, and blockchain technology are effectively integrated into modern business environments.

Mehmet Demir, on the other hand, offered an academic perspective, explaining how analytical intelligence skills can be developed during education. He underlined the growing significance of software technologies, IoT, and contactless systems, encouraging students to specialize in these rising fields to strengthen their future career prospects.

Moderator Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Erol discussed how analytical thinking can make a difference in design and architecture, highlighting the value of interdisciplinary approaches and how knowledge from different fields can be synthesized to foster innovation.

Throughout the event, students actively engaged with the speakers, asking questions about analytical thinking and innovation. Those interested in careers in technology and entrepreneurship gained valuable insights into data-driven decision-making and strategic problem-solving. The panel contributed significantly to students’ awareness of critical thinking and innovative approaches essential for 21st-century skills.

Next week, a talk titled “Mental Health and Balance: Healthy Ways to Cope with Stress” will be held, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Aslı Kasar. The session will focus on the psychological and physical manifestations of stress and discuss effective coping strategies from the perspectives of psychology and communication sciences, providing students with practical tools for stress management.
