 The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema is waiting for its new students!

As the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), we expect to see our new students among us in the 2024-2025 academic year!
We wanted to briefly introduce our department and answer the questions for our students who will be newly enrolled in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA).
 
1. What is the purpose of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema?

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema aims to train artists equipped with both artistic and technical knowledge and experience in the field of communication. While doing this, it aims to train professionals with advanced design skills with knowledge and experience in all visual and auditory broadcasting fields and cinema.
 
2. Where can graduates of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema work?

Students who graduate from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema have a wide range of career opportunities in spoken and visual broadcasting companies, TRT and private radio-televisions, the advertising sector, film and digital broadcasting fields and cinema. There is also the opportunity to advance academically.

7. Is there a Double Major (DMP) opportunity in the Radio, Television and Cinema Department?

Students studying in the Radio, Television and Cinema Department have the opportunity to do a Double Major (DMP) if they meet the required conditions. The required conditions are as follows:

  • The student's General Grade Point Average (GPA) must be at least 2.90 out of 4.00.
  • In the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, students must be in the top 20% of the success ranking according to their General Grade Point Average (GPA).
