RTC Department is preparing for the new term!

Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Radio, Television and Cinema Department academic staff came together for new term planning.

The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema has started preparations for the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Department Head Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan listened to the department academic staff's evaluations of the past terms and their ideas for the new term at the meeting he opened to discuss the new term plans.

In the new academic year, it was decided to hold the Harvest Time Short Film Festival, which was held for the first time last term. It was decided that the preparations would start as of the fall term.

At the beginning of the fall term, an orientation organization was planned for the first-year students who will join the department. A more entertaining and long-term plan was made compared to the old orientations.

Event suggestions that could be carried out jointly with graduate students and the Film Design Club were discussed.

Suggestions were presented for the Artistic Development Activities to be held in cooperation with the Dean of Students in the new term.

Plans were made for students to actively participate in the International Short Film, Video and Photography Symposium and the International Uşak Short Film Festival organizations, in which the department is a partner, and for some students to take part in the organization.

The department academic staff expressed that they were excited about the new term.
