Res. Asst. Başak Lale's photograph featured in the "April 27 International Design Day International Online Group Exhibition"
Başak Lale, a research assistant in the Interior Architecture Department of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), had her photograph titled "Eskiden" (From the Past) showcased in the 27 April International Design Day International Online Group Exhibition organized by Marmara University.
Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Interior Architecture Department Research Assistant Başak Lale earned the opportunity to participate in the 27 April International Design Day International Online Group Exhibition organized by Marmara University's Traditional Handcrafts Design Application and Research Center from April 27 to May 15, 2024, with her photograph titled "Eskiden". In her displayed work, she explores the juxtaposition of old and new and the human presence amidst this interaction, captured in the Antalya Button Houses region. The exhibition featured unique works such as photographs, ceramics, collages, typography, paintings, sculptures, and clothing designs from artists and designers from various countries.

Regarding her participation in the exhibition, Research Assistant Başak Lale commented:
"Firstly, I would like to thank Marmara University's Traditional Handcrafts Design Application and Research Center for providing the opportunity for my work to be exhibited on an international platform. Through the 27 April International Design Day International Online Group Exhibition, the 'Eskiden' artwork had the chance to meet with enthusiasts from many countries. The work focuses on the 'Button Houses,' a structure systemically constructed from the past, carrying teachings for the future as well. In the photograph, this unique spatial value confronts today's standardized spaces, coexisting within the same frame..."
