Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci Completed the Set!
The shooting of the short film Aç Açına, produced by Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department, has been completed.
Supported by the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Aç Açına short film project, which left the 22nd Izmir International Short Film Festival with the first prize, started post-production processes after a three-day set.
The project, directed by Ahmet Toğaç and produced by Eda Çekemci, is about the disappointment of two brothers who are preparing for their father's birthday. For Aç Açına, which has undergone a long preparation process and is included in project development platforms, it is time to complete the post-production processes and meet the audience.
“We Are Preparing The Film For The Festival Journey”
Stating that the set was quite enjoyable, Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci said that they spent three days with a set of exterior shooting, they completed the set with almost no problems and they were very happy as a team. Cekemci, who said that the team worked in beautiful synchrony, emphasized the importance of the preliminary preparations they made in creating this synchrony. She added that they saw the benefits of having a long preparation process on the set and that they experienced the advantages of having met the team beforehand, made space explorations, and rehearsed with the actors. Indicating that they will start the festival journey by completing the editing of the film in the next period, Çekemci wished the film to have an enjoyable festival journey just like the set.
