Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Vice Head of Department Lecturer Selcen Nurcan KESKİN URMAK's presentation of the paper titled "The Place of Lodgings and Settlements as Happiness Factories in Turkish Architecture of the Republican Period", which she wrote together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zeynep YAZICIOĞLU HALU was held at Gazi University on 27-29 December 2023, "Mimar Kemaleddin Bey Symposium: Turkish Architecture in the 100 Years of the Republic" held at Gazi University on 27-29 December 2023. Within the scope of the paper, in line with the vision brought by Atatürk with the proclamation of the Republic, in line with the effort to integrate modernity movements into daily life; A series of lodgings and compounds, which include spaces for sustainable social life within a campus and developed in parallel with the development of industry, have been examined through examples in terms of sustainable social life opportunities.
