“Looking to Past” exhibition in which Prof. Günay Atalayer presents her 45 years of work started at Marmara University Republic Museum on December 18, 2018 at 16:00 with opening speeches.

Artist has presented her works which she started with various trials in textile weaving in her exhibition named “Looking to Past- A Journey with Weaving, 1973-2018”.

Students and lecturers of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Fashion and Textile Design have participated in exhibition within the scope of course titled Fundamental Textile Knowledge. They had the chance to get more information on weaving and examine the samples.

Günay Atalayer said: “I believe that the designers/artists in this group will sustain the creation platforms generated at the end of 45 years of academic process with education and production in the fields of Art and Design. My greatest wish is to ensure that common creativity groups continue by encouraging the participation of new textile designers.”

Exhibition will be open until January 5, 2019 (except for Mondays and official public holidays).
