 Interview with Executive Chef Mevlüt Beşaltı on Gastronomy

Students of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts have met with Executive Chef Mevlüt Beşaltı who is known with his “Magic Touches” in national and international food and beverage industry, with the organization of Lecturer Elif Z. Özer and GastroArt club.

Students of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts have met with Executive Chef Mevlüt Beşaltı who is known with his “Magic Touches” in national and international food and beverage industry, with the organization of Lecturer Elif Z. Özer and GastroArt club.

This event was held with the support of Dean of Faculty of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. D. Kamuran Güçlü and Department Head of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Assistant Professor Dr. Emine Olum. Executive Chef Mevlüt Beşaltı, who worked in the Michelin-starred restaurant, provided the students a sectoral perspective by addressing issues such as things to do in order to improve themselves in the kitchen, the functioning of kitchens abroad and in Turkey. He gave examples on crisis managament in kitchen refering to his valuable experiences at Disney ABC Television Group where he was employed as Executive Chef. Following his talk on Gastronomy, President of GastroArt Club and a student at the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Hakkı Gök, presented flowers to Executive Chef Mevlüt Beşaltı.
