The exhibition, which was organized within the scope of the “International Art Workshop” completed between October 24 - November 4, 2018, was held on December 25, 2018 with the participation of Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Durdu Kamuran Güçlü and faculty members.
The works of artists from different parts of the world came together at International Art Workshop organized by Istanbul Gelisim University for the first time this year.
Works at the International Art Workshop held in Alanya with artists from different countries such as Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, France, Georgia, India, England, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Tunisia and Greece are exhibited at Istanbul Gelisim Tower exhibition floor, Istanbul Gelisim University.
IGU Department Head of Restoration and Conservation Prof. Dr. Erol Kılıç, who pioneered the organization of International Art Workshop and who was the curator of exhibition emphasized that many works appeared during the workshop. He added: “Artists from different countries had the opportunity to talk about the problems of art in their country and this exhibition is very important with the participation of more than 50 artists. We have exhibited the works in Alanya and now we are exhibiting at our university. This is the first art workshop developed by our university. We are planning to continue these art workshops in the future.
In this respect, we aim to create a serious collection in the future. As a second art workshop, we are planning to bring together renowned Turkish painters at our university.”
