 Interior Architecture Department Introduced to High School Students!

Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture made a presentation about the department and the interior architecture profession to students from Şehit Ahmet Yıldız Anatolian High School.

A presentation was made to students from Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture, Şehit Ahmet Yıldız Anatolian High School, where they answered their questions about the department and the interior architecture profession. The meeting attended by Martyr Ahmet Yıldız Anatolian High School students took place on January 4, 2024.
 
 
The meeting was held by Deputy Head of the Department of Interior Architecture,  It started with the opening speech of  Asst. Prof. Dr. Adem Özer. Providing information about the Department of Interior Architecture, Özer emphasized that undergraduate life is the first step of the lifelong learning process. Özer stated that the professional, cultural and social knowledge acquired from the beginning of undergraduate education will turn into efficient, original and sustainable new concepts, furniture and designs throughout his professional life and that they aim to train interior architects who can produce designs at these standards, and briefly talked about the goals of the department.
 
 
In the second part of the meeting, Bartu Emir Kaya, a 4th year student of the Department of Interior Architecture, presented the projects he designed in the Interior Architecture Studio course. Talking about the way project courses are taught, Kaya shared his experiences in the process of creating the project design with the students.
 
 
In the last part of the meeting, Deputy Head of the Department of Interior Architecture, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adem Özer answered the questions of high school students about the university, the Department of Interior Architecture and the profession of interior architecture.
 
 
After this enjoyable conversation and presentation, Asst. Prof. Dr. Adem Özer ended the meeting by wishing success to the students.
