 Finalist in ARUFF with her project!

Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci, who was a finalist in the Final Draft Film Platform Short Film Production Support category, made within the scope of the Mercy to the Universe International Short Film Festival with the Aç Açına short film project, which she produced, will present her project before the jury.

Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, won the right to participate in the workshop as a finalist in the İKSV Meetings on the Bridge program with her short film project Aç Açına, as part of the Mercy to the Universe International Short Film Festival. was selected as a finalist in the Final Draft Film Platform Short Film Production Support category. Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci, who will attend the trainings at the Final Draft Platform to be held on November 24-30, together with the director of the film, Ahmet Toğaç, will make a presentation before the jury after the training.

The Aç Açına short film project, which is among the ten projects selected among the applications, will compete to obtain the production support award, which will be given to three projects. At the festival, which has a week-long workshop calendar, participants will receive training from Bonnie Williams, who provides field and public speaking coaching and consultancy for industry professionals. After the workshop, the project teams will present their projects in front of the jury consisting of Hanis Bagashov, Esra Demirkıran and Orkhan Aghazadeh.

Being a finalist on another support platform has increased our motivation

Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci, who continued to attend the workshop trainings after being a finalist at the 6th Short Film Workshop organized within the scope of İKSV Meetings on the Bridge, stated that the news that they were a finalist in another support platform while the workshop was still in progress increased their motivation. Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci said that they want to shoot their projects in the best conditions, and for this reason, such production support platforms and competitions fill a very important place for the industry. Adding to her words that the coming to the forefront of short films as a sector day by day brings with it the necessity of increasing such supports, Çekemci stated that they will represent their projects in the best way at the Final Draft Film Platform.
