The fashion show was organized under the coordination of Department Head of Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts, Fashion and Textile Design Assistant Professor Dr. Semral Ekizoğlu and Research Assistant Sema Çağlar.   

Fashion Show was implemented at Istanbul Gelisim University’s new campus Gelisim Tower after dinner.

In her speech, Assistant Professor Dr. Semral Ekizoğlu explained the reason of choosing “migration” as the theme of fashion show. She said: “Migration is a change of location. There are many living spaces where this change is conveyed to us through designs. We wanted our students to design garments by focusing on the cultural human migration, migration of animals and the emotional impacts of migration. They have revealed the impact of migration on fashion through original designs.”

“WE REMOVE ALL OBSTACLES TO ACCESS INFORMATION”

IGU Chairman of the Board of Trustees Abdulkadir Gayretli said: “We are removing all the obstacles to access the information.

As Istanbul Gelisim University, we train our students as entrepreneurs, inquirers and researchers who will pioneer social development. We remove all obstacles to access information. Our students, who will graduate from Fashion and Textile Design Department, exhibited their creativity through very successful designs. I congratulate them all. I know that they will become the pioneers of fashion in Turkey and in the world.”
