Within the scope of the "Artistic Development" events organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) and held every Tuesday, the event titled "The Importance of 3D Modeling in Space Design" by Lecturer İlkay Beril Ünlü was held on January 02, 2024, between 12.00-13.00, in Gelişim Tower, Student Center, 17th floor.

“3D modeling provides designers with the ability to create a detailed digital replica of structures and interiors.”

Lecturer İlkay Beril Ünlü made the following statements about the event, which attracted great interest from students:

“Architecture and interior design are fields that are constantly evolving to combine visual aesthetics with functionality. As part of this evolution, the rise of 3D modeling technology has brought a revolutionary change in space design. Traditionally, architects and interior designers implemented their projects on paper or with 2D drawings. However, 3D modeling technology has changed this paradigm by allowing designers and clients to visualize and experience space more realistically. 3D modeling provides designers with the ability to create a detailed digital replica of structures and interiors. This offers architects and interior designers the opportunity to better understand and improve the dimensions, volumes, and aesthetic features of their projects. This technology is also of great importance to customers. 3D modeling offers clients a more realistic perspective at every stage of the design process. “Clients can see the completed project at earlier stages so they can collaborate with designers and make changes.”

We would like to thank Lecturer İlkay Beril Ünlü and all our students who participated.
