As a result of the evaluations made according to the Istanbul Gelişim University Academic Performance Evaluation Process Management System, the Rector of Istanbul Gelişim University Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin, an academician of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, are among the names in the top 5 in the General Ranking.

The ceremony started with the opening speech of Istanbul Gelişim University Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin. Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin talked about the Academic Performance Evaluation System used for the first time this year and said that faculty members are evaluated in 3 different categories: 'Education-Teaching', 'Research-Development' and 'Management'. In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Bahri Şahin said, “Each of you makes our university proud with the outstanding performance and determination you show in your field. Your academic achievements are promising not only for you but also for the valuable students you educate for the future”.

Following the speech of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abdulkadir Gayretli, in which he emphasized the importance given to science and research by Istanbul Gelişim University, which progresses with the vision of 'Research University', the academicians were invited to the stage one by one to receive their awards.

As a result of the evaluations made according to the Istanbul Gelişim University Academic Performance Evaluation Process Management System, Asst. Prof. Dr. Gökhan Balcıoğlu, Head of the Department of Interior Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Emre Doğan, Head of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, were deemed worthy of the award. Our academics, who were invited to the stage and received their awards, became a source of pride for the Faculty of Fine Arts.
