 A New Paper Presentation by Res. Asst. Eda Türkay!
Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, an academician of Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, made a paper presentation at the 23rd Conference on New Directions in Film Studies in Turkey.

The 23rd Turkey Conference on New Directions in Film Studies, held on 9-11 May 2024, was titled Cinema and Beyond. On the third day of the conference, Res. Asst. Eda Türkay made her presentation titled: “A Quest for the Cinema Industry as Green Productions Become Widespread: Is a Sustainable Screening Network Possible?”.
 
“It is Important and Necessary to Spread Sustainability to the Entire Industry”

Res. Asst. Eda Türkay, who gave examples of green sets that have become widespread recently in her presentation, also touched upon the institutions and organizations that develop sustainable methods for the cinema industry in the world and in Turkey. Emphasizing the need to follow the same sustainable path in processes such as post-production, distribution, screening and festival networks after the preliminary preparation and production stages, Türkay stated that choosing environmentally friendly practices in all branches of the industry is important to provide a holistic output.
