What is biomimicry?

Biomimicry, which consists of the Greek words 'bios' meaning life and 'mimesis' meaning imitation, means imitating life. It is an approach that imitates nature's designs and processes to create a healthier and more sustainable world. Biomimicry, which helps develop new products and services by examining nature creatively, is today applied in many different fields such as architecture, engineering, electronics, and urban planning.
