This year's Theme of the Design Festival Organized by the Faculty of Fine Arts has been determined as 'Digitalism'

The event, which set off with the motto of "Digital Evolution in the Fields of Art and Design" and is planned to last for 3 days, will also include interviews, seminars, workshops, workshops and various social activities with the participation of internal and external guests. Preparations for the festival, which will be held online under the supervision of Lecturer İrem Fulya ÖZKAN and Lecturer Nihal EKİCİ DEMİR, faculty members of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Fine Arts Faculty (FAF), continue at full speed.

25 students and 14 lecturers take an active part in the preparations of the event. About the purpose of the festival, “It is aimed that all students of the Faculty of Fine Arts put the theoretical knowledge they have gained from the programs they are affiliated with into practice and thus integrate their field expertise into social life.” Lecturer who commented See. İrem Fulya ÖZKAN and Lecturer. See. Nihal EKİCİ DEMİR said, “Thus, the festival will provide an academic perspective to the new digital age, while at the same time it will motivate students by reviving the spirit of fine arts.” He expressed his views. Melek GÜLŞEN, Ayşe AKSU, Melike SÖALP, Fatmanur Yürük, Sude Anda GAVRİLOV, Zeynep FIRAT, Gülben ALKAN, Tuğçe ÇAKIR, İlayda OĞUZ, Yeşim ADAM, Hazal GÜNEŞ, Rümeysa Hilal TONBUL, Fatma Gül YILDIRIM and Aysemen ERDOĞAN, who studied in 4 different departments The Design Team, formed with the devoted contributions of the Festival, contributes to various special day and social responsibility projects as well as the visual designs of the festival. The social media team, which includes Seray Nisa YAVUZ, Ahmet Taha DEMİRCİ, İlayda ÇELİK, Buse GÖRAL, Firdevs GÜLŞAHİN, Berkay GÜLER, Hilal DENİZ and Murat GARİPOĞLU, also undertakes the management of the social platforms created for the Festival.

Applications for the "Digitalism Themed Illustration Contest" for high school, associate and undergraduate students, held at the festival butcher, continue until April 20, 2021.
