 The Third Step of the Social Responsibility Project “Supporting the Transition Process of Pets in Need to Their New Lives” Has Been Realized!


The third step of the social responsibility project "Supporting the Transition Process of Pets in Need of Help to Their New Lives" organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Tr&Eng) took place on Friday, December 29, 2023, with a photography exhibition where cats and dogs photographs were exhibited.


The project, developed for needy pets temporarily hosted within the Kurtaran Home Association operating in the Arnavutköy District of Istanbul, aims to contribute to the transition process of pets to new living spaces and raise awareness on this issue. Within the scope of the third step of the social responsibility project "Supporting the Transition Process of Pets in Need of Help to Their New Lives" organized by Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, the faculty members involved in the project are Lecturer Selcen Nurcan Keskin Urmak, Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Erol, Lecturer Minel Kurtuluş, Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk, Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı, Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı and students, with an exhibition consisting of photographs taken of cats and dogs in need, which were wanted to be given a second chance at life by the Kurtaran Home Association.

They organized a "photo exhibition" event for pets in need

The exhibition, which was opened on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 13.00, at Block K Mehmet Akif Ersoy Exhibition Hall, attracted great attention from faculty members and students. Within the scope of the first and second steps of the project, the exhibition with photographs taken during the visits of the Kurtaran Home Association was thought to be useful in increasing the visibility of pets in adoption. The social responsibility project was completed with the exhibition of the photographs taken, which is the third step of the relevant social responsibility project.
