 The Second Step of the Social Responsibility Project “Support the Transition Process of Pets in Need to Their New Lives” Has Been Realized!


The second step of the social responsibility project "Supporting the Transition Process of Pets in Need of Help to Their New Lives" organized by Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Tr&Eng) and Interior Architecture,the visit took place to Kurtaran Home Association on Monday, December 04, 2023.


8 The project, developed for needy pets temporarily hosted within the Kurtaran Home Association operating in the Arnavutköy District of Istanbul, aims to contribute to the transition process of pets to new living spaces and raise awareness on this issue. Within the scope of the second step of the social responsibility project "Supporting the Transition Process of Pets in Need of Help to Their New Lives" organized by Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, the academic members involved in the project: Lecturer Selcen Nurcan Keskin Urmak, Lecturer İbrahim Erol, Lecturer Minel Kurtuluş, Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk and Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı and with the support of the students, a "cat feeding" event was organized by the Kurtaran Home Association for needy cats who wanted to be given a second chance at life.

On Monday, December 4, 2023, at 14.00, project coordinators Lecturer Selcen Nurcan Keskin Urmak, Lecturer İbrahim Erol, Lecturer Minel Kurtuluş, and students went to Kurtaran Home Association and organized a "cat feeding" event for the needy cats there who wanted to be given a second chance at life. The professional photoshoot was taken by Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı during the cat feeding event was thought to be useful in increasing the visibility of pets in adoption. The third step of the relevant social responsibility project will be to exhibit the photographs taken at the relevant events and share them on social media accounts, and the social responsibility project will be terminated after this stage.
