The Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA) at Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) showcased student projects with the "2024-2025 Fall Semester Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (TR & ENG) Mixed Student Projects Exhibition", held as part of the 2024-2025 academic year. The department opening ceremony, held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 12:00 PM in the foyer area on the ground floor of IGU J Block, was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Prof. Şükran Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp, Vice Deans Assoc. Murat Doğan and Assoc. Prof. Sezgin Savaş, as well as numerous academics and students. The opening speeches were delivered by Asst. Prof. brahim Erol, Chair of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department, and Curator Selcen Nurcan Keskin Urmak.
The event began with the opening speeches, followed by a tour of the exhibition and a detailed examination of the projects. In the opening speech, emphasis was placed on innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and adapting to the evolving dynamics of interior architecture and environmental design. Additionally, the importance of bridging academic knowledge with industry applications was highlighted, encouraging students to integrate creativity and functionality in their designs to advance their work.
