 Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı successfully passed his PhD proficiency exam!


Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English), has successfully passed the “PhD Proficiency Exam” held at Gazi University, Faculty of Architecture.


Research Assistant Mustafa Dallı, from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), took the “PhD Proficiency Exam” within the scope of the Architecture (English) PhD Program affiliated with the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences. The exam was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Asena Soyluk from the Faculty of Architecture, Gazi University. The examination jury included Prof. Dr. Ali İhsan Ünay, Prof. Dr. İdil Ayçam, and Prof. Dr. Arzuhan Burcu Gültekin from Gazi University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esra Özkan Yazgan from Hacettepe University; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rüya Kılıç Demircan from Sinop University. Research Assistant Mustafa Dallı took the written exam on June 26, 2025, and the oral exam on May 27, 2025, successfully passing the proficiency stage.

Stating that he had the opportunity to explore holistic performance approaches in architectural design in more depth throughout the proficiency process, Dallı emphasized that the experience was not only about measuring academic competence but also about enriching his research perspective on structural systems, environmental sustainability, and spatial quality. Following the exam, he made the following statement: “The PhD Proficiency Exam has helped me better understand the necessity of integrating technical efficiency, architectural aesthetics, and sustainability criteria in high-rise design. The feedback from highly competent academics not only evaluated my qualifications but also greatly contributed to strengthening the methodological framework of my research. I sincerely thank my esteemed advisor and the jury members for their invaluable support throughout this important process.”
