Farabi Congress, which has been held since 2011 and brought together experts from different subjects and different fields in a wide range from Architecture to Literature, Communication to Linguistics, was held for the 11th time this year in Erzurum, face to face and online, between 19-21 August.  Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı presented two different papers in the session that started on 21.08.2022 between 13.00-15.30.

Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı stated the following about the congress and his presentations:

First of all, Farabi Congress, which was held for the 11th time, is a very important congress in terms of being a congress that brings together many academics from such different fields. I would like to thank Ms. Asena Soyluk, whose studies we prepared together, and all the academicians who made presentations at the congress.

In the first paper, “Architect's Ethical Responsibility In The Face of Pandemics”, it has been discussed what tasks architects have taken and should take in pandemics such as COVID-19 and its derivatives, which have negatively affected our lives and caused many people to die over the past two years. And the results found have been turned into a result as a design strategy.

In the other paper, "Comparison of The Natural Disaster Management Policies In The Point of View of Architecture", a literature review was made about natural disasters and disaster management concepts. Then, the disaster management systems of Turkey, the USA and Japan, which were selected in this context, were discussed over their development and how active the architects were in these systems, and how the disaster management systems of developing countries such as Turkey could be improved through the findings obtained.”

We congratulate Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı for his academic achievements and wish him continued success.
