Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı made a presentation at the International Marmara Science Congress, which was held for the ninth time in Kocaeli this year by Kocaeli University and held remotely and face-to-face on December 9-10. Presentations were made at the congress with the participation of many academicians from different fields of Science.

In his paper titled “Relationship Between Japanese Architectural Culture and Disaster”, Mustafa Dallı tried to examine how Japan was constantly confronted with the concept of disaster, especially the concept of earthquake, and how Japan's architectural culture blended with changing technologies or developments.

From Abstract;

“Japan is a country with a long history and its historical back ground consists of different architectural periods. Different architectural styles emerged in different periods. However, in every period, Japan has been constantly confronted with the concept of disaster, especially the concept of earthquake. And while changing technologies or developments affect the architectural culture, it has been in a way that feeds and supports the concept of resistance to disaster.

 In this study, which aims to examine how the concept of disaster is blended with the concept of disaster in Japan before examining the concept of disaster in detail, it has been tried to examine its evolution from ancient times to the present day, including the war and after.”

We congratulate Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı and wish him continued academic studies.
