The Artistic Development Events series, organized by the Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Office of the Dean of Students with the contribution of the Faculty of Fine Arts, continued with another session aimed at supporting students’ personal and professional growth. Held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 12:00 to 13:00 on the 17th floor of the Faculty of Fine Arts, the “Motivation and Leadership Training” event drew strong interest from both students and academics.
The guest speaker of the event was Personal Development Specialist Elif Sezen, while Asst. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Erol served as the moderator. Throughout the session, topics such as communication, body language, stress management, and emotional intelligence were discussed. Elif Sezen emphasized that effective communication begins with self-awareness and that leadership skills are not limited to managerial roles but are closely connected to empathy and emotional balance.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the concept of leadership in relation to personal motivation through case studies and practical exercises. At the end of the event, students expressed that the insights they gained would make a meaningful difference in both their academic and social lives.
The IGU Office of the Dean of Students and the Faculty of Fine Arts announced that similar events contributing to students’ artistic and personal development will continue in the upcoming periods.
