Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Eng.) Department Head Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Res. Asst. Tuğçe Öztürk Dallı and Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı organized the "meeting event with full scholarship students" on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 12:00, in IGU Block K, Classroom 706.
Students had the chance to socialize with each other and get comprehensive information about the department by communicating directly with the academic staff
The event was attended by full scholarship students of the department. Students had the chance to meet each other and learn more about the department by communicating one-on-one with the academic staff. The main purpose of the event was determined as facilitating the social adaptation processes of scholarship students who have just started university, increasing their academic motivation and strengthening their sense of belonging to the department. The event, which took place in a friendly and warm atmosphere, also allowed students to express themselves more comfortably.
In the Q&A session that took place after the introduction session, students asked the academics about their curiosities on topics such as scholarship opportunities, academic consultancy services, internship opportunities, international exchange programs and career planning. The academic staff answered the students' questions in detail and guided them in their plans for the future.
At the end of the event, students expressed that they wanted such meetings to continue and shared their satisfaction with the organization. The Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (Eng.) aims to make this event a tradition every year and further strengthen student-teacher interaction.
