Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı, a faculty member at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English), presented his papers titled “The Convergence of Procurement and Technology – An Evaluation of the Integration of Project Procurement Management and Building Information Modeling”* and *“Rethinking Project Management in Architecture – Leadership, Talent Integration, and Performance Optimization” at the 9th International Hagia Sophia Multidisciplinary Scientific Research Congress, held on July 14–15. Following his presentations, the full-text versions of both studies were published in the 9th Hagia Sophia Proceedings Book.
Sharing his thoughts on this development, Dallı expressed that the publication of his work was a highly valuable and motivating milestone in his academic journey. “This process was not just about completing a study; it was also a period in which I had the chance to think more deeply, question, and contribute within my area of expertise,” he stated.
Emphasizing that his study offers a holistic perspective on architectural practice by addressing project management alongside human resource strategies—from leadership to sustainability—Dallı said, “Today, I believe that project success must be built not only on technical criteria but also on a human-centered, ethical, and cultural foundation.”
He further highlighted that academic production is not solely about sharing knowledge, but also about creating opportunities for learning and growth. Dallı added that having the chance to present a theoretical framework enriched with real-life applications made this experience especially meaningful for him.
We congratulate Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı and wish him continued success in his academic endeavors.
