 Development in Sustainability Continues!


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Res. Asst. Mustafa Dallı made a presentation on sustainable development goals with the participation of faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department Research Assistant Mustafa Dallı made a presentation on the "Sustainable Development Goals" report published by Manchester University in 2021-2022 with the participation of faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts. In the presentation held on Tuesday, September 27, at the J Block 313 Amphitheater, the United Nations' "No Poverty", "Zero Hunger", "Health and Wellness", "Quality Education", "Gender Equality", "Clean Water" and Hygiene", "Accessible and Clean Energy", "Good Business and Economic Development", "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure", "Reduced Inequalities", "Sustainable Cities and Societies", "Responsive Production and Consumption", "Climate Action" , "Life Underwater", "Life on Land", "Peace, Justice" and "Strong Institutions", "Partnership for Purposes", "Sustainable Development Goals by 2030", which are gathered under seventeen titles, were focused on. In the presentation, large-scale projects of the University of Manchester from England, which were taken as an example, in all fields of seventeen topics were discussed with examples.

Efficient Discussions were Held

Stating that the presentation was followed with enthusiasm by the faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dallı mentioned the importance of the subject by saying, "The presentation I made to the faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts here today and the ideas and discussions that followed are very important, and my esteemed professors followed the subject with great care.". Mentioning that sustainability and sustainable development goals are two separate issues and that they can sometimes be misunderstood, Dallı said, “Our professors have already touched upon this issue. We had very productive discussions about "What can we do as the Faculty of Fine Arts?". In addition, the feedback from our valuable professors after the presentation is also very exciting.” He emphasized that the presentation was also effective in terms of developing new ideas.
