The midterm juries for Design Studio I–III–V courses of the Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (English) Program at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FFA), were successfully completed as part of the 2025 Fall Semester.
  • Design Studio V jury was held on Monday, November 3,
  • Design Studio III jury on Wednesday, November 5,
  • Design Studio I jury on Thursday, November 6.
At each studio level, students presented their design projects developed throughout the semester, undergoing a comprehensive evaluation process. The juries included Asst. Prof. İbrahim Erol, Asst. Prof. Volkan Öztaş, Lecturer Serenay İnceoğlu, and Lecturer Cansu Sözer, who took part both as course instructors and jury members.

The evaluations focused on key design criteria such as research, concept development, spatial analysis, material selection, and representation techniques. Projects that stood out in terms of creativity, functionality, and presentation quality were highly appreciated by the jury members.

Faculty members emphasized that the jury process is not only an assessment tool but also an important learning experience for students — helping them enhance their creative thinking, develop critical perspectives, and gain professional presentation skills.

The Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department continues to strengthen students’ analytical, aesthetic, and technical competencies through studio courses that address design problems across various scales.

We congratulate all our students for their dedication throughout the semester and extend our sincere thanks to all the instructors and jury members for their valuable contributions.
