Res. Asst. Dr. A. Bengisu Cansever Bayhan Attended MAXQDA Training
Res. Asst. Dr. Ayten Bengisu Cansever Bayhan, an academic staff member of the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU), participated in a MAXQDA training program aimed at enhancing digitalized research processes and qualitative data analysis skills in academic studies.
The training program was held on December 5, 2025, and was conducted by expert instructor Burak Varol. Designed around the effective use of MAXQDA software—widely utilized in academic research for qualitative and mixed-method data analysis—the program was attended by Res. Asst. Dr. Ayten Bengisu Cansever Bayhan from the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Istanbul Gelişim University.
Strengthening Qualitative Analysis in Academic Research
Within the scope of the training, the core functionalities of MAXQDA, a mixed-methods data analysis software frequently used in social sciences and design disciplines, were comprehensively addressed. Participants gained hands-on experience in systematically coding and visualizing data such as interviews, visual documents, and literature reviews.
This training aims to strengthen the data analysis capacities of department academics in national and international publication processes and to enable them to guide students using up-to-date research methodologies.
