Led by Lecturer Ahmet Bikiç from the Department of Visual Communication Design, the workshop offered participants both theoretical and hands-on experience in photography techniques, lighting, and composition. Students experimented with various light sources and long exposure methods to create original light-painted frames, combining movement and illumination to produce visually striking results.
During the workshop, Polish students and our university’s students formed mixed groups, using artistic production as a means of communication. This collaboration fostered interdisciplinary and international exchange, uniting participants through creativity.
At the end of the session, students presented and discussed their own light-painted shots in a reflection session. The resulting works showcased a rich visual diversity that merged different cultural perspectives.
More than just a technical learning experience, the event revealed photography’s universal power to connect people. It also laid the groundwork for future joint art projects and student exchange programs.
Supported by the International Student Office, the workshop once again underscored the university’s commitment to cultural diversity, art, and creativity.
