The Department of Radio, Television and Cinema held its annual student representatives meeting this year as well, where it listens to students' requests and demands. Chair of the Department Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan, Asst. Prof. Rabiya Saltik Duvan and Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema attended the meeting. An important evaluation meeting was held with the participation of first, second, third and fourth year student representatives and the department representative. The current situation of each class was discussed at the meeting, and the experiences of the students throughout the semester, the problems they encountered and their demands were discussed.
The meeting allowed for effective communication between the department administration and the students, and also provided an exchange of ideas to make the education process more efficient. The student representatives shared their views on academic progress in their classes, course content, practical studies and technical facilities.
In addition, the students made suggestions for increasing social and cultural activities and requested a more active university life. The department administration stated that the necessary improvements would be made by taking into account the opinions and suggestions conveyed. The meeting was considered an important step in terms of strengthening the student-centered approach and creating a common mind regarding the department.
Feedback from Students Was Received
In the meeting, Melek Kardelen Alim, a fourth-year student, stated that they were focusing on the projects they would carry out within the scope of the Graduation Project course. Ahmet Tevhid Kuzu, a third-year student, stated that they were interested in the film projects they produced within the scope of the course and that there was a general intensity in the department. Fatma Nur Gözübenli, a second-year student, stated that there were requests for department-wide cinema-going events. Binnur Süreyya Bostan, a first-year student, stated that the double major program was on the class's agenda and that the majority wanted to apply to the ÇAP, and upon this, it was decided that an orientation regarding the ÇAP could be organized.
Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan mentioned the department's important organizations such as this year's symposiums and festivals, the planned events, and stated that they would evaluate the students' requests and demands and include them in the program, and thanked the students and ended the meeting.
