RTC Department Conducted Orientation for First-Year Students

Following the faculty orientation for first-year students, a departmental orientation was held where information about the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema was detailed. The orientation, which was attended by first-year students who registered for the department, began with the opening speech of Department Head Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan. The orientation, which took place in Pocket Cinema, was attended by department academic members and research assistants, department graduate students, department representatives and members of the Film Design Club board of directors.

Following Asst. Prof. Emre Doğan's opening speech, Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı made a presentation that included content on many topics that need to be known about the university, faculty and department. Kırbacı, who provided basic information to students, concluded his presentation by touching on many issues they may encounter during their four-year undergraduate education.

Sümeyye Özyurt, one of the graduate students of the department, explained the department through her own experiences. She talked about the education they received and how they received it during the four years, the internship process, the things they did and benefited from in their education life, and the gains of the department she benefited from during her job search after graduation.

Department representative and senior student Melek Kardelen Alim, especially talked about how to act against any kind of problem encountered in the process, which communication networks to follow, and how to apply for a solution, and conveyed hierarchical communication to the students with a few case studies.

Film Design Club board members Arda Yeniköylüoğlu and Orhan Kerem Kartal shared the club's operations, the events they carried out, and the new plans they prepared for this term, and guided the students for membership procedures.

The faculty and department social media accounts were introduced to the students. The orientation was completed after the Q&A session.
