Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı Started to Work as the Assistant Communications Coordinator at the University's Communications Coordinator

Research Assistant from Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (GSF), Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema, Okan Kırbacı started to work as the Assistant Communications Coordinator in the Communications Coordinator unit of the university.

Working with a team of students from the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Res. Asst. Okan Kırbacı expressed his thoughts on his new position as follows:

“The Communication Coordinator unit is a unit that started its work last year under the rectorate of our university. The Communication Coordinator unit coordinates, supervises, and carries out the planning of the communication and promotion activity planned and supported by the Digital Promotion Teams formed within the faculties and colleges. In addition, it is a unit responsible for supporting the Public Relations and Publicity Department and the Corporate Communications Department in communication and promotion planning. As coordinator at the head of the unit, Asst. Prof. Dr. İpek Sucu and I are working as his assistant.

As Deputy Communications Coordinator, I must supervise the execution of the communication and promotion activities I mentioned. In a short time, we formed a shooting and editing team affiliated with the coordinator. The team consists of talented and hardworking students of the Radio, Television, and Cinema departments, and our door is open to other students in the department. Until now, we have done countless shootings in many departments on different subjects and these works have started to be published on the networks of the relevant departments.

We are aware of the importance of the work we do in the audio-visual age we live in. In the Communication Coordinator unit, I want to create a new and continuous core that produces value within my job description. I want this structure to benefit both the institution and the students, and I see that it is. I would like to thank my professors who have made me worthy of this task.”

We congratulate Okan Kırbacı and wish him and his team success in their work.
