 Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker Introduced the Radio, Television and Cinema Department Online


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Radio, Television and Cinema Department head of department Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker participated in the online promotion days held through the social media account of the faculty and explained the department and the possibilities of the department to the candidate students.


Introducing himself by explaining his academic education, career journey, artistic progress in the fields of cinema and theater, and various projects, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker talked about what the students will encounter and what kind of education they will receive if they receive education in the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Emphasizing that the current age is the age of communication, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker emphasized the importance of recognizing and knowing communication tools.
 
The fact that it is a department where trainings on a branch of art that presents visual narratives by using mass media such as radio and television and communication tools such as cinema are intertwined, ensures that the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema has a wide scale in terms of education and job opportunities. In this respect, students graduate with knowledge and experience in the fields of general culture, art and communication. Stating that the curriculum of the department consists mainly of applied courses, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker emphasized that this situation distinguishes Istanbul Gelişim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Radio, Television and Cinema department from similar departments in different universities and different faculties. Technical facilities such as studios and equipment are provided to students in the department where they aim to develop in terms of technical equipment and aesthetic perception with applied trainings.
 
Emphasizing the importance of the Body Language and Diction course, which is included in the curriculum of all departments in the faculty, for the personal development of the students, Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker mentioned that the courses included in the curriculum of the department are diverse in which students can get to know themselves and discover in which field they are more inclined to work.
