Istanbul Gelisim University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture took it as our duty to gather the valuable principles of you as a researcher, curious, self-confident profess ional, confident conservative, devoted to self-development and dissatisfaction at a national and international level, in contemporary places. With the steps we have taken towards this goal, we have achieved our first international accreditation success. In this way, we have ensured that you are one step ahead of the students studying in the same department. We have improved your working environments with our studios located in the Gelişim Tower, which we have started education as of this term.


We have now provided a more comfortable working environment where you can work at your desk all day. The opportunity to work together in the open studio system gives you; It will enable you to produce and develop original designs by feeding on each other and developing common ideas. By establishing interactive connections, you will be able to communicate with national and international external stakeholders and designers who are experts in their fields and closely follow up-to-date and innovative design ideas. In addition, the studios have been arranged in a way that will expand your horizons where you can develop yourself socially and culturally, and are offered to your use. More opportunities were provided for collaborative work between disciplines, either within the university or with external stakeholders. In addition to these developments, we aim to prepare you for professional life with our newly structured curriculum and our new courses on furniture design and application, chosen by the department as the area of expertise.


As a general structure, in your new curriculum, the basic professional knowledge you need to acquire has been presented to you more systematically, thus giving you more time to experience and reinforce this knowledge. In addition, it is thought that you can use this provided time for an Interior Architect to be aware of every aspect of art and design, to feed on the idea there, and to improve himself. Another change we have made in our curriculum, besides your vocational education, social elective courses that can support you in your future life, and a pool of joint elective courses that you can study interdisciplinary with the participation of all the departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which will enable you to reach the subjects that you are curious about or think to specialize in have been created. By offering these opportunities to you, in the steps of your professional life, and by supporting you as much as we can; As Interior Architects who are open-minded, innovative, enterprising, determined, and able to make original designs, we aim to prepare them for life.
