In the Departments of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design (T&E) & Interior Architecture, 60 working days of summer internship are compulsory for graduation and to provide an important experience before starting his professional life. Before starting the Summer Internships, the application process, which is an important step, must be carried out correctly.
As stated in the relevant section of the IGU internship directive:

INTERNSHIP APPLICATION ARTICLE 10 –
(1) Students who will apply for internship fill out three Compulsory Internship Forms and have the three forms approved by the Student Affairs Office at least seven days before the start of the internship, after they are approved by the Dean / Director or deputy, Department Head or assistant and Internship Place Official of the relevant units, so that insurance entry can be made. and submits one of the approved forms to student affairs, one to the Head of the Program/Department, and one to the institution where he/she will do his internship. All insurance transactions are carried out by Istanbul Gelişim University for the dates specified
(2) The University does not make an insurance transaction for students who have been accepted for internship from abroad and certify that they have taken out private health insurance during their internship, and students who are allowed to do their internship by taking advantage of the Erasmus Internship Mobility.
(3) Students who have started their internship report their internship activities to an internship book accessible on the web page, and at the end of the internship, after having each page of this book approved by the workplace manager, they deliver the internship book to the internship coordinator.

How is the internship application process going?
It is possible to proceed according to the following steps regarding the internship process.
When is the compulsory summer internship done?
For Compulsory Summer Internships, students start their applications at the end of the 4th Semester at the earliest. Internships are held in the 4th semester and the summer months following the 6th semester. Graduate students (students who have completed all their courses except IMI 381 Summer Internship I and IMI 481 Summer Internship II/ ICM381 Summer Internship I and ICM481 Summer Internship II/ IAE381 Summer Internship I and IAE481 Summer Internship II) in the fall, spring and summer terms can do internship.
How should we arrange the Summer Internship?
Students must have arranged the office/site where the Summer Internships will be held.Başvurular ne zaman yapılmalıdır?
The internship application form should be filled in at least 15 days before the start date of the internship and handed over to the Secretariat of the Faculty of Fine Arts or it should be sent to gsf@gelisim.edu.tr via e-mail.

Should Office Internship or Construction Site Internship be done first?
One of the two compulsory summer internships must be done at the construction site and the other at the office. The order is not important, but it is recommended to do the office internship first and then the construction site internship.
How many days are required to do internships?
Since Summer Internship I: 30 working days, Summer Internship II: 30 working days, a total of 60 working days, the number of days for an internship application must be 30 working days.
A student who does an internship for less than 30 working days has to complete each internship within 30 working days to graduate. A separate internship application form and a separate internship book must be prepared for each part of the internships that are divided into more than one part.Staj Başvuru belgeleri bilgisayar ortamında mı hazırlanmalı?
Internship application form should be filled in computer environment. The signatures on the internship application form must be wet signatures.
What should be considered when setting internship dates?
• Sundays should not be included in the internship.
• In institutions where Saturday is not worked, Saturday should not be included in the internship.
• The student must mark the part “Does another institution have insurance?” in the form.
• When determining the dates, official and religious holidays should be subtracted from the number of internship days. (15 July Democracy and National Unity Day, Eid al-adha and Eve, 30 August Victory Day)
